Safe Cycling Promotion cum Safety Ambassador Scheme
Award Presentation Ceremony successfully held
The Road Safety Council and Traffic Kowloon East of Hong Kong Police Force jointly held the Safe Cycling Promotion cum Safety Ambassador Scheme Award Presentation Ceremony today (August 22) at Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Park, Tong Chun Street, Tseung Kwan O.
The ceremony was officiated by the Chairman of the Road Safety Campaign Committee, Dr Eric Cheng; Senior Superintendent of Police and Commander of Traffic Kowloon East, Hong Kong Police Force, Mr Paul Grove; the Chief Staff Officer of the Auxiliary Medical Service, Mr Hui Wai-kwong; the Acting Superintendent of Police Investigation and Support of Traffic Kowloon East, Hong Kong Police Force, Mr Fung Ngai-man; and the Senior Assistant Commissioner and Kowloon East Regional Commander of the Hong Kong Road Safety Patrol, Mr Au Yeung Wai-lun.
The officiating guests presented certificates to Cycling Safety Ambassadors at the ceremony. The ceremony also included a safe cycling sharing session by former member of the Hong Kong cycling team Ms Jamie Wong. Other highlights of the event included a dance performance by True Light Villa District Elderly Community Centre of Christian Family Service Centre and an artistic cycling demonstration by the Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps Bicycle Demonstration Team.
