Pedestrians
Before crossing a road
- Allow more time to reach your destination: Do not rush.
- Choose the crossing facilities, i.e.: footbridge, pedestrian subway,
zebra crossing & light signal crossing.
- Find a safe location to cross the road if no crossing facility is available.
- Do not climb over/through the kerbside fence/central reserve onto the carriageway.
- Do not cross - when a vehicle is coming;
- Do not cross - when the light signal crossing is RED/flashing GREEN;
- Look RIGHT & LEFT at least twice.
- NO vehicle/ vehicle STOPPED, then cross.

"Be Alert" when crossing
- Look and listen to approaching vehicle.
- Do not RUN.
- Cross in a straight line.
- When the light signal crossing is GREEN and start flashing, keep going at a steady
pace to reach the opposite side of the crossing or a central refuge island.
- Do not remain on a crossing road longer than is necessary.
- Follow the direction of a police officer/traffic warden in uniform or school crossing patrol.
