Introduction
On wet roads
- Slow down, leave plenty of following distance.
- Your allowance for braking distance should be at least doubled.
- Brake gently to avoid wheels lock up.
On Dazzling lights
- Wear sunglasses in daytime and make use of the sun visors.
- Switch on the headlights and remove the sunglasses when driving through tunnel.
- Keep the windows clean.
On burst tyres
- Hold the steering wheel tight.
- Do not brake suddenly; ease off the accelerator. Let the vehicle slow down and brake gently to a complete stop.
- Look into the direction of travel and turn the steering wheel.
- Turn on the hazard warning lights and pull off to the roadside as soon as possible when safe.
