- Have your vehicle checked before travel.
- Check your spare tyre is properly inflated and your lift jack and car tools are there in case they are needed.
Keep and eye out for kids
- A child is considerably much safer when travel in the rear seats of a vehicle than in front seats.
- Watch out for children on the road. They may also be learning to ride new bikes over the holidays.
- Keep an eye out for learner drivers. As the holidays are a popular time to learn to drive.
- Never leave children unattended in a vehicle, even for a few moments.
Be Smart
- Check the map and plan your route before setting off.
- Be courteous and give way to emergency vehicles.
- Be patient and do not be provoked by other driver’s aggressive behaviour.
- Buckle up with seat belts and use approved child seats for restraining children.
